As a long-lasting listmaker, I discovered mindmapping did not come naturally to me. I initially tried it at the urging of a buddy numerous years back, but I kept running out of area and my notes would run off the edge of the paper. It also provided me a severe case of writer’s cramp, so I quit on mind mapping for a few years.
Then I heard about some free mindmapping software readily available on the Internet, so I surfed around a bit till I found and tried a couple. This was partially much better, however insufficient to transform me from my lists.
Then, simply a couple of months back, I found a various piece of mind mapping software application that changed everything for me. Mindmapping works on a single principle, that you have a major subject recognized in the middle and numerous branches and sub-branches originating from that. The maps can be as huge and complicated as you like, or as easy. However the software is not all developed equivalent, so you have to browse a bit to find one that works for you.
Here’s what made the difference for me. I was dealing with a strategy to develop an audio CD to sell on Amazon, and there was rather a list of things to do, consisting of developing the product itself, discovering somebody to develop the graphics package, get it made by CreateSpace and noted for sale on Amazon, promote it and send out traffic to its page. Oh yes, and one more little thing: I needed to apply to the IRS for a tax number since I don’t live in the U.S
. Now if I had made my usual lists for this, I would have checked off the item about applying to the IRS, and after that I would have been stuck waiting for their reply. But when I laid it all out on a basic mindmap, it was clear to me that while I waited, there were many more products I could complete, so by the time I received my tax number everything else was ready and I might get my CD up there making money for me.
That’s when I ended up being a transform, and ever since I’ve become map pleased. I used my mindmapping software application to make my organisation prepare for this year, to launch my month-to-month Wilkie Webinar program, to make notes while listening to teleseminars, to capture originalities I wasn’t quite prepared to deal with so that they would not get away, and so a lot more.
If you haven’t attempted mindmapping, I prompt you to explore the software application that’s available and make a few maps. I predict you’ll become as happily addicted as I have! Learn more about Free Mindmap here.
